FREDERICK COUNTY SHERRIFS OFFICE: Men and women between the ages of 14-20 who are interested in pursuing a career in law inforcement. You are invited to join the Frederick County Explorer Post #1218. The Post gives hands-on practical experience for those interested in seeing what a career in law enforcement has to offer. The Post meets every other Tuesday from 7-9pm at the Sheriff's Office headquarters, which is located at 110 Airport Drive East in Frederick (behind the MVA) *The 1st meeting is September 8, 2009 **Brochures available in the Guidance Office

GRANTS FOR MARYLAND SCHOLARS COMPLETERS (… for Education Partners) Academic Competitiveness Grants (ACG) – Most Pell-eligible students who complete the Maryland Scholars course of study in high school are eligible for an additional $750 (for college freshmen) and $1,300 (for college sophomores with a 3.0 GPA). SMART Grants - Pell-eligible college juniors and seniors with a 3.0 GPA pursuing majors in math, science and certain foreign languages are eligible for up to $4,000 per year.
